A Look Back: As a WoW Player, I Was…#4

As a WoW player, at least I was

– humble enough to accept that I had to pay my dues first before I could earn a raid spot

– did not misbehave in any manner that would sully the guild name or my own name for that matter

– did not trash other guildies on guild chat, whether they were offline or online. If I had a complaint about someone, I would tell an officer privately

– did not spam guild chat with Recount/Skada to brag about my numbers, because who really wants to see that shit?

– did not resort to Machiavellian or traitorous things to get someone kicked from a raid team so I could get his spot!

THIS THIS THIS! I left my last guild because of several guys who spammed meters every raid night. One of them was the GM. I’m now in a guild where people hardly talk and that’s just to my liking!

  2. Can totally relate to the last one. I had a jerk guildie who did all he could to get my raid spot. He talked bad about me when I wasn’t on, sucked up to officers, told lies about me…then karma bit him in the ass. He tried to get into a top raiding guild on our server but was denied because of his two faced ways.

    1. There was another DK in my first guild on Zul’jin who kind of did the same thing to me. I’m glad I left that guild; I can’t thrive in a snake pit environment where I can’t trust anyone.

  3. It’s crazy. I am in a 25+ (and usually alot older guild) and we get none of this. We have just started using a new loot system and it’s hard work to get people to take the loot as most of the time they are happy to pass it to other raid members.
I think I would just go insane if I had to play the game with people that you are describing =O

      1. We still have our share of under performing muppets hopwever, so you are probably better off staying in retirement, as I imagine some of them would make your head spin =)
